Experimental Abstract Watercolor on Gessoed Surfaces
In this playful, hands-on class, you’ll create a unique artwork using watercolor (or diluted acrylic/gouache) on a gessoed surface — think cereal boxes, cardboard, or paper with a dried coat of gesso.
Watercolor behaves completely differently on gesso: it sits on the surface, makes beautiful textures, lifts more easily, and lets you reclaim white space — it’s perfect for layering, subtractive techniques, and letting go of over-planning.
Materials needed: Watercolor (or diluted acrylic/gouache), brushes, and any painting surface prepped with gesso.
You’ll get prep instructions right after checkout.
